Honouring Our Military

In tribute and to thank our Canadian military for their incredible service, past and present, the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is pleased to offer a 50% discount on admission to members of the military (active duty and veterans) and their immediate family members accompanying them.

This offer is in effect for day admission starting November 11th through to December 31st, 2023 and for ZOOLIGHTS admission starting November 17th through to January 7th, 2024 (some exclusions apply; see below). Past and present members of the military are asked to present a valid Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Card, Service I.D. Card (regular force or reserves), or Military Card (CF1), along with photo I.D. on arrival at the zoo’s North gate entrance. This is a ‘show and save’ discount. Tickets cannot be purchased online in advance and are valid for the date of purchase only.

Exclusions

The following dates are excluded from day admission:

December 25:  the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is closed.
The following dates are excluded from regular ZOOLIGHTS admission:

November 28: Private event
November 30: Private event
December 25: The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo is closed
December 31: Zoo Year’s Eve (Family-friendly & late-night) – this evening requires a separate admission ticket
