Conservation Champions Festival
Conservation Champions Festival 2023
The Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo’s Conservation Champions program invites young people to join us in our mission to sustain wildlife and wild places.
Incorporating aspects of field study, inquiry and service learning, this program gives young people the opportunity to explore their passion and take action for the natural world around them. The program culminated in our Conservation Champions Festival on May 3 – 4, 2023.
From sea otters to swift foxes, polar bears to giraffes, students became conservation educators for the day. Student displays were featured throughout the zoo and each class shared their project and inspired visitors to take action for wildlife and wild places.
View the Garden of Champions Journal to see each class’s video on their conservation education project.
