Red Pandas
An elusive creature in mountain forests
Red pandas are known for their climbing ability which is made possible by their sharp and semi-retractable claws and flexible ankles that let them climb down headfirst. Their red coats and black bellies help them to blend in with their surroundings and safely sunbathe in trees away from predators. While they are omnivores, red pandas prefer to feast on bamboo and can eat up to four pounds a day.
